InEK opens NUB proposal for 2020 today, September 2nd.

The German NUB proposal process has been established to enable a Reimbursement negotiation between hospitals and health insurances for expensive therapies which are not represented appropriately in the G-DRG-system yet.

The NUB proposal process for 2020 was unlocked by InEK on September 2nd. As of now, hospitals can submit their NUB proposals via the InEK website (“Datenportal”) until October 31st, 2019 (Reformation Day, Bank Holiday).

Aim of the proposal process is to give hospitals the opportunity to let InEK evaluate if they are allowed to negotiate an additional Reimbursement (NUB status 1) for innovative therapies.

Furthermore, InEK itself will engage in an appropriate Reimbursement of the therapy via the G-DRG-system in the course of time.
