The German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information (DIMDI) opened the proposal procedure for the OPS classification on December 2nd, 2019.
The OPS classification (encoding for operations and procedures) and the respective OPS-codes significantly define the G-DRG-system. OPS-codes and their further development therefore play an important role for the Reimbursement of therapies and products.
The OPS classification is revised on an annual basis. Until February 29, 2019, proposals for the further development can be submitted to DIMDI to represent a therapy in an OPS-code as specific as possible.
