DIMDI published final ICD-10-GM version 2020

On September 26, the German Institute of Medical Documentation and Information (DIMDI) published the final version of the ICD-10-GM (International Classification of Diseases) for 2020 on itswebsite.

Different to the previous years, the ICD-10-GM version 2020 does not contain any updates of the WHO due to the fact that the organization does not continue to update the ICD-10 on a regular basis.

As already announced by the preliminary version, there are a few changes in the notes, a new group of diagnosis codes for diseases of the eye (differentiations of macula degeneration) and a new ICD-code for HIV prophylaxis have been established.
