Hospital future act – federal health ministry provides schedule

In the context of the Hospital Future Act (“Krankenhauszukunftsgesetzt” - KHZG), the German federal ministry of health presented a schedule until 2023 last Friday (20th November 2020).

For the “digital update” of the German hospitals, the KHZG provides a budget of 4.3 billion Euros. Next to investments for emergency equipment and the improvement of digital infrastructure of the hospitals, the patients’ digital involvement as well as telemedicine and robotics are part of the law.
