New departments and structural changes in the ministry of health

Minister of health Jens Spahn (CDU) disposed several reorganizations in the ministry to be affective as of February 1st, 2020.

Amongst others, the new department “Abteilung 6” concerning the topics healthcare security, climate and sustainability is introduced.

Furthermore and as already apparent with several enacted laws in the last months, the topic of nursing and care will become the focus of the ministry itself: department 4 is as of now concerned with this topic only, the topics prevention and healthcare advancement are outsourced into other departments.
