Additional 50 Mio. € for 120 hospitals

On July 3rd, 2019, the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds, the German Hospital Federation and the Association of private health insurances agreed on a list of hospitals in rural areas according to sec. 9 para 1a number 6 KHEntgG. These 120 hospitals receive a so-called funds for securing patient care (“Sicherstellungszuschlag”) in to the amount of 400,000€ for one year. The list of the respective hospitals will be updated annually and published on June 30th of every year. Under restriction of the final agreement of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds, the decision on the 120 hospitals definite.
