BfArM published final ICD-10-GM version 2021

On September 23, the federal institute for drugs and medical devices (BfArM) published the final version of the ICD-10-GM (International Classification of Diseases) for 2021 on its website.

Since 2019, the ICD-10-GM version does not contain any updates of the WHO due to the fact that the organization does not continue to update the ICD-10 on a regular basis.

46 of the submitted suggestion for the further development of the ICD-10-GM have been implemented, one of the major updates is the inclusion of several codes for COVID-19.
