The flood disaster that destroyed the region “Ahrtal” in the night from July 14th to July 15th, 2021 left lasting damages. The marks that the flooding left on the infrastructure are still very visible and unimaginable in their dimensions. It is not yet possible to see when the reconstruction will be completed.
However, at this point, 11 weeks after the catastrophe, most of the debris has been cleared up, many houses are already at the end of the drying phase and reconstruction has begun. Reaching this point was only possible thanks to the tireless efforts of thousands of volunteers and through donations from friends, customers and business partners. The public's willingness to donate has also been great and is very helpful in the current situation. We would like to thank you very much.
