Draft bill of the German “Hospital Reform Adjustment Act” (KHAG) published

The German health ministry (BMG) presents the next step of the extensive German health care reform.

The following is planned:

  • Greater leeway for federal states in the allocation of the new service groups
  • Transformation fund (€25 billion by 2035) will now be financed by the federal government instead by the statutory health insurances (GKV).
  • Adjustments to the quality criteria and regulations concerning affiliated physicians
  • Postponement of the pre-reimbursement to 2028
