From 2026 onwards, the service catalog for Hybrid DRGs is expected to be significantly expanded.
What makes this unique is the inclusion of services that have never before been performed on an outpatient basis in Germany, with hospital stays of up to three days (two overnight stays).
At the same time, billing processes will be further standardized to ensure uniform reimbursement between hospitals and contracted physicians.
The affected services must also be mandatorily billed through the Hybrid DRG system.
