InEK published DRG proposals for 2022

The German DRG institute (InEK “Institut für das Entgeltsystem im Krankenhaus GmbH”) published a summary of all DRG proposals for 2022 on June 1st.

196 proposals have been submitted for the adaption of the G-DRG-system 2022 and which are now evaluated by InEK.

Hospitals, medical societies and associations do have annually the opportunity to support the development of the G-DRG-system by their contribution of medical and scientific knowledge to InEK.

The upcoming proposal process at InEK is the NUB process. Hospitals have the opportunity to request a NUB status for new examination and treatment methods (so-called NUBs) which are not yet sufficiently reimbursed via the G-DRG-system. If approved by InEK, the hospitals can negotiate an individual NUB payment.
